Kathleen I. Murphy, 62, of Derry, NH died Tuesday June 5, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Kathleen was born in Boston, MA on February 24, 1956, a daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Galvin) McInnis. She had resided in Derry since 1986, formerly living in Charlestown, MA where she was raised and educated. She had previously worked for the Sisters of Mercy in Windham, NH.

She is survived by her husband, Richard R. Murphy, Sr. of Derry, four children, Erin Murphy, Heather Murphy, Raphael M. Murphy III, and Richard R. Murphy, Jr., all of Derry, ten grandchildren, two brothers, Michael McInnis of Malden, MA, and Jackie McInnis of Maryland, two sisters, Susan McInnis of Charlestown, MA, and Helen Schaar of Cape Cod, MA, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Angela Cataldi, and siblings, Ann McLaughlin and Joseph McInnis.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday June 7, 2018 from 6 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 am in St. Mary’s Parish, 55 Warren St., Charlestown, MA. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.

George Whalen formerly of Charlestown and attended St. Catherine of Siena Church and was living in Everett when he passed on May 15 at the age of 61.

John M. Brassil Jr., a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life after a long battle with addiction on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 54 years of age.

John was born in Boston on June 2, 1963, a son of Marilyn T. “Mal” (Sullivan) Brassil and John M. “Jack” Brassil . He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated at St. Francis De Sales Parochial School and graduated from Don Bosco Technical High School in Boston in 1982. John worked as a laborer with several construction and painting companies in the area. He enjoyed fishing, walking around Charlestown and was always willing to help people in their time of need.

John is the beloved son of Marilyn T. “Mal” (Sullivan) Brassil and the late John M. “Jack” Brassil (Retired Special Sheriff, Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department). He is lovingly survived by his son John M. Brassil and his brother Kevin Bolger. He is the devoted brother of retired Boston Firefighter Thomas Brassil and his wife Elise and Lyn Mathes and her husband Jason. He is also lovingly survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend John’s Funeral on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. His burial will be at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Arlington. His visiting hours will be on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.

John V. “Ditto” Rodriguez, a resident of Woburn and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was 61 years of age.

Ditto was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras on January 15, 1957, a son of Juan V. Rodriguez and Lidia (Carias) Rodriguez. Ditto immigrated to the United States with his family in 1966 and settled in Charlestown. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated at St. Francis De Sales Parochial School and graduated from Charlestown High School. He was always know for his love of art and how precise he could draw anything. He cared about his family immensely throughout his life and was given the nickname Ditto in Charlestown for his quickness and speed on his feet during sporting events.

Ditto is the beloved son of Juan V. Rodriguez and the late Lidia (Carias) Rodriguez. He is the devoted brother of Silvia Rodriguez and her husband George of Stoneham, Alexis Garcia and her husband Luis of Woburn, Carlos Rodriguez of Melrose, Julia Rodriguez of Reading and Waldina Cameron and her husband David of Woburn. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ditto’s visiting hours on Tuesday morning, May 22, 2018 from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. followed by his Funeral Service at 11 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.

Stephen A. Ridlon, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 62 years of age.

Stephen was born in Boston on June 1, 1955, a son of the late Arthur T. “Bud” Ridlon and Eleanor R. (Abbott) Ridlon. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1973. Stephen worked as a mason and laborer for many years for several construction companies in the area. He enjoyed the quality times spent with his children and loved his grandchildren above all else.

Stephen is the devoted father of Stephen J. Ridlon and his fiancé Lani O’Neill of Everett, Edward J. Ridlon and his wife Cortney Webb of Biddeford, Maine and Jennifer M. Ridlon and her companion Alex Lopez of Everett. He is the former husband of Carol Skeffington. He is the loving Papa to Sophia, Amelia, Kyleigh, Addison, Aaron, Alex, and the late Alice Rose. He is the beloved brother of Ellen Gallagher and her husband Ed of Charlestown, Doreen MacCormack and her husband Mark of Charlestown, Maureen Ridlon of Charlestown, Thomas Ridlon and his wife Meghan of Windham, New Hampshire and Karen Ridlon of Charlestown. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Peter F. Mansfield Jr., a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 67 years of age.

Peter was born in Boston on June 30, 1950, a son of the late Peter F. Mansfield and Frances (Evers) Mansfield. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1969. Peter worked as a Custodian for over 20 years for the City of Boston with the Boston Police Department and the Boston School Department. Peter was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed the many sports activities in Charlestown that he was involved in. Peter could always be seen walking around Charlestown and greeting people with his gentle and unassuming manor.

Peter is the devoted brother of Henry Mansfield and his wife Joyce, Donna Marino and her husband Mike, Janet Lakeman and her husband Dan, James Mansfield and his wife Virginia, Kellie Houlihan and her husband Joseph and the late Paul Mansfield and Thomas Mansfield. Peter is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews.

Anne Marie (Ryan) McCarron, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Friday, April 27, 2018 at her sons home. She was 85 years of age.

Anne Marie was born in Charlestown on May 8, 1932, a daughter of the late William L. Ryan and Helen B. (Kiley) Ryan. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School. Anne Marie worked for over 12 years as an Order Filler for McKesson Pharmaceuticals. Anne Marie was very involved in the Charlestown community always volunteering at many civic activities and always concerned with the political process that would affect Charlestown. She was a strong advocate and member of C.H.A.D (Charlestown Against Drugs). She enjoyed photography and the Christmas strolls in Charles Newtowne. She was passionate about her ancestry background and found many family members over the years throughout the world thru Ancestry.com.

Anne Marie is the beloved wife of the late James McCarron and Leo Donahue. She is the devoted mother of Sharon Konstantinidis and her husband Dimitrios, Debbie Mijal and her husband Bruce, Joseph “Gil” Donahue and his wife Janet, Willy Donahue and his fiancé Yvonne Salcedo, Barbara Simon, Jim McCarron and his wife Jennifer and the late Helen Donahue and Judi Donahue. She is the loving Gram to 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of Dorothy Stewart, William Ryan, Helene Malone and the late Barbara Smith, Claire Martino and Eleanor Breslin. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Jean F. (Campbell) Sullivan, a lifelong resident of Charlestown and summer resident of Kingston, New Hampshire, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Boston Medical Center in Boston. She was 77 years of age.

Jean was born in Boston on December 3, 1940, a daughter of the late William J. Campbell and Agnes (O’Connell) Campbell. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the parochial school system of Charlestown and graduated from Charlestown High School. Jean worked alongside her husband Jack at Sullivan’s Pub in Charlestown for many years always quenching the thirst of many patrons. She enjoyed traveling to Kingston, New Hampshire where she would spend her summers on the lake. She enjoyed traveling to Aruba with her husband Jack. Jean’s greatest pleasure in her life was the quality time she was able to spend with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughters.

Jean is the beloved wife of the late John T. “Jack” Sullivan. She is the devoted mother of Jean Marie Sullivan Feeney of Andover, John T. “Jackie” Sullivan Jr. and his wife Joanie of Stoneham, Erin Sullivan of Charlestown and Merry White and her husband Peter of Charlestown. She is the loving Cuckoo and MiMi to Jenna Zacher and her husband Scott, Airman Emma Feeney USAF, Michael Feeney, Shauna Sullivan, Jack Sullivan III, Harry White, Cavan White and her great-granddaughters Lily Zacher and Grace Zacher. She is the beloved sister of Philip Campbell and his wife Mary of South Boston and the late Joan Mahan, William “Soupy” Campbell and Paul Campbell. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
